Inside the Atelier Vol. 10 | Television

Inside the Atelier Vol. 10 | Television

It's really easy to take things for granted.

Stopping to reflect on what you've achieved can be really hard, especially if you're ambitious. In my previous life where I competed in the sporting world, I would never be happy and it took me down a rabbit hole.

If I won a race, I would bemoan not winning it 'better' before writing notes on how I'd plan to do just that at the next one. It's a process I've brought into business.

It can be a really good thing but it can also hinder. I thoroughly believe that this should be hard work but also fun, otherwise what's the point?

Mallin & Son has helped me knock on and open many doors which have given me a catalogue of stories to tell the grand-kids when I'm old and counting down the days.

There's been lots of really nice coincidences and things happen that you could only put down to the universe being magical or simply luck. To further confuse things, I believe in neither.

The avenues I've travelled down were never planned even if the clothing was always the obvious path following the waxing. An email just before Christmas 24 took us into a completely new world that even the universe magic thing couldn't dream up.

We've been doing some work for TV but not just any TV, Disney and Netflix.

I have to be really careful at this point (and will be) as I can't share who with exactly until both projects are released next year but they are massive.

Furthermore, the two projects I've been fans of when watching first time around so to now be involved in some way, is truly mind boggling.

So this weekend I will be taking time to reflect on how this idea that started at the kitchen table could soon be on screens across the globe.

Maybe I am doing ok? I should probably make some notes..

PS. Yes, I know I need to smile more.....
